Thanks to the rain, my yard has turned into a forest! It's been rainy every day and too wet to mow. Today I got the chance, but first I had to get some pictures of Murphy in the grass up to his belly to show Luke how long the grass was. The pictures don't do it justice, because Murphy wouldn't hold still in the longest grass.

Look how happy he is!

I think I hear somethin'.

Barking back at the neighborhood dogs.

Exploring in the backyard.

I was seriously laughing so hard mowing the lawn. It was so long and still a bit wet. Mushrooms were growing in it and there were snails all over. The grass was so long that the lawnmower stalled a few times after getting clogged up. These pictures don't do it justice. I don't know why it was so funny to me. Ok, maybe I do. I'm in such a good mood because Luke is on his way home! I'm sad for the reason he is headed home a couple days early, but I miss him SO dang much!

While I was mowing, I saw the BIGGEST worm ever! Check this thing out! I have always loved worms. When I was little I remember going to my Great Grandpa Lloyd's house and helping catch worms in his yard for fishing. He had these electric probes that he would stick in the ground and it would make the worms come up above the ground. I loved catching the worms and chasing my sisters with them. I couldn't resist picking this giant snake of a worm up and taking a picture or 5! Once I took a picture I thought "Oh this is going on the blog!"

Then this happened. Yes, it's a Friday night and I was alone in the backyard taking pictures of myself and a worm. I think I know where that song "Nobody likes me. Everybody hates me. Guess I'll go eat worms." came from. Some girl was probably all alone and found a worm and TaDa! a song was born.

That worm was so squirmy! I seriously thought it was going to flip itself into my mouth. haha But I couldn't resist taking the pictures. I can't wait to see Luke! I'm so excited I could just scream! Even worms and mowing the lawn are making me happy!
