150th Anniversary of The Origin of Species

Talk about an awesome day! On November 18th a group of us from church went to the University of Utah to hand out Origin of Species books for the 150th Anniversary of Charles Darwin's book. Ray Comfort had the books printed with a 50 page Special Introduction. Here are the photos from the day.
Car full of books.

Getting ready to pass out 2000 free books.

Getting our instructions of where we should set up.

The kids were ready to help.

We ran out of our first set of books and were waiting for more. In between classes we couldn't hand them out fast enough. People were running to get their free books!

A photojournalist asking our names and taking pictures as we passed out the books.

Big helper!

Reading to each other.

"You mean to tell me that we came from monkeys? Hahaha!!!"

Lunch break.

We ran out of books again and moved to help pass out the rest of the books.

Running back to get more books.

Things got a little tense towards the end. One guy came and said some nasty things and kicked over a stack of books. A few people came right behind him and helped pick up all the books.

Dirty book after being kicked in the dirt. People didn't mind that the books were covered in dirt. They still wanted their free copy.

Some people ripped the introduction out of the book. A girl even took the ripped book.

Sharing the Gospel. This guy amazes me. Every time I turned around he was sharing with someone else. Awesome!

This was right after we passed out all the books and prayed. People will still coming up to us trying to get a copy.

The guy in the trench coat was the one that kicked over the stack of books. He kept coming back and yelling nasty things. Before we left, he got to hear a little bit about the Gospel. It was pretty heated at first, but by the time my group left it was pretty calm. God is good!
We were all standing around watching it all happen.

And we got it all on tape.

Riding home after a successful day.

It was an awesome thing to be a part of! For more info or to get your own copy of the book or to download the introduction CLICK HERE.
