First of all, I'm sorry to say I didn't take any pictures of today. Maybe it's a good thing??? I've had a zillion pictures lately. Yeah, a zillion, that's a lot. Anyways, I made it to another bridal show today. This one was at the Southtowne Expo Center. It wasn't as fun, maybe because my fun mom didn't come this time, or maybe it just wasn't as cool as The Grand America. While I was in line to go in, I had a total Bridezilla behind me. She was such a brat! Talking about how she hates her fiance's style. And complaining about everything!!! Well, this time I knew how everything worked...Have this card signed by every vendor at the show to be entered into the grand prize drawing. I busted through there so fast today. I knew there wasn't much I would need for my wedding, but I won so many prizes at the last show, I had to try again. In fact, I don't think I ever posted all my winnings from the last show. Here they are:
- $150 towards a package at Smile Now Photobooths
- A strand of pearls & 40% off a diamond, 50% off a mens band, or 20% off and engagement ring or band from Goldsmith Co. Jewelers
- $300 to American Laser Centers for laser hair removal or skin rejuvination. PLUS for going in so soon for my consultation they added $100. I plan on getting 6 treatments of microdermabrasion!
- $15 dollars to MaryKay and a free makeover! haha I wonder how many people won this prize:)
- A bunch of crap probably from Celebrity China and a 3 day 2 night stay in any Radisson Hotel, if we go to this hour long cooking show. Free dinner...is this worth it?
So, I won a ton of stuff. It's always fun to be a winner. Plus the show is free for brides. And there is a lot of fun stuff to look at even if I won't be using much of it. I entered all the drawings I thought would be cool to win and filled out my card. Then, I went home for awhile til it was time to be back for the grand prize drawing. Which I didn't win. Oh well. I did win a free photo montage from Courtney Ryan Photo & Video (90 photos $85 value).
I did find a couple vendors that do CUTE cupcakes (instead of a wedding cake). So, do you all think this would be fun or a waste of money? It would be less than $200 for all my guests to have a cupcake! I just thought of this today. Didn't plan on having a cake, but cupcakes? I love cupcakes. They're so cute. And both places suggested red, black and white cupcakes with poker chips or card designs. haha Fun. Am I being silly or would this be a good idea?
Other progress I have made:
- Hopefully most of you have recieved your invitations. I'm only missing a couple addresses and amazingly only 2 have come back to me.
- I have scheduled my bridal showers (3 within 8 days).
- Chosen our hotel to stay in Vegas! Treasure Island for us. The rooms are beautiful. Some of my family is staying at Arizona Charlie's Boulder. My mom has heard pretty good things about it and they had the best prices she could find. It isn't on the strip, but it works.
- Found a photographer in Vegas and got the most amazing deal! I still can't believe it.
- Bought some frames to display my engagement pictures in for my bridal showers.

The cupcake idea sounds cute and cost efficient.
OK definitely go with the cupcakes!! I had so much leftover cake at my wedding, even though they are pretty to look at it takes a lot of people to eat the whole thing. So yay for cupcakes!! Great idea!
