50 Things I Love About Luke

Nicole gave me the idea of doing a "50 things you may not know about us" post. But, I think it would be funner (yes I said funner, Nicole and I love that word) to do that together, when Luke gets home. So, I decided to make a list of things I love about Luke. Since, he's gone more than he's home, I will help you get to know the Luke that I love. So, here we go...

1. 1-This is the most recent favorite thing about Luke. Yesterday after he played a pro-am in Montreal, some guys were trying to convince him to go to the clubs downtown. He responded with "Sorry, but I just got engaged. I think I'll stay in for the night" (or something to that effect). Awwww! What a good man.
2. 2-He's actually hates the clubbing scene. He'd much rather stay in, than go out. That is nice for me when he's out of town. I know I don't have to worry about him being around other girls.
   
3. 3-He always has some sort of obsession. He will read and study and buy everything he is "obsessing" until he gets bored or finds something "cooler". He'll think I'm making fun of him by saying that. But, I really do love it. Even if it just makes me laugh about it.
4. 4-He is very competitive. He hates playing games that you can win just with luck. It has to have skill, and he always wins.
   
5. 5-I love playing games with him and my family at Christmas time. He's so funny and only plays because he knows I want him to (he always has fun once he starts though, even if he won't admit it). He takes the game so serious, it's hilarious.
6. 6-He always compliments me.
   
7. 7-I love when I catch him just watching me do something and he has that look that he just loves me.
8. 8-Everything he does, he does 100%. He puts everything he has into whatever it is he's doing.
9. 9-He loves Murphy (our little dog) even though he was so mad at me for buying him. He is not an animal lover, but is completely attached to Murph.
10. 10-He has to have a plan. He likes knowing what is going on, rather than doing things on a whim.
    
11. 11-He hates to be late or when other people are late. Something I need to learn from him!
12. 12-He is a genius. He graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Economics. He always studies everything he is interested in. I love that he is so smart. I can't imagine being with someone who wasn't.
13. 13-He is very realistic. He likes to know that things will work out a certain way, unlike me. I know that everything will work out one way or another, no matter what. Maybe not the way you thought, but it will work out. That's probably the reason we aren't married yet, or have babies. He wants to know that we will be set. Which is probably a good thing we balance each other out. If it were up to me we'd have been married 5 years ago. I'm so thankful to know him as well as I do now. I am truly sure that he is the one I want to spend my life with. As for the baby part... I'm ready now. K Luke. Whenever you are, of course;) I love you!
14. 14-He always wears his shoes. Even just to go to the bathroom at night, he puts them on. Don't know why, but it's another quirk I love.
    
15. 15-He never orders fajitas, because they are noisy and he hates that everyone stares at you. He says he's over that, but I have yet to see him order one.
    
16. 16-He doesn't go bowling, unless it's the off season. His reason: one arm will get stronger than the other and affect his golf swing. I always laugh about this. Like I said, he is 100% with everything. He won't do anything that might screw up his golfing. He does usually end up playing if my family gets together, though. And he always kicks our butts.
17. 17-He is good at any sport he plays. Even if he's never played before.
18. 18-I love that when he plays sports with my brother in laws, or anyone for that matter, that they feel so lucky to be playing with a professional athlete. It's funny to me. Luke is just a normal guy. He's just good at what he does.
19. 19-Luke is very humble. He is always nice and gets complimented by the way he is on the course. When he plays pro-ams, he always makes his team feel comfortable and has a good time. I love hearing how great of an experience he made it for the team.
    
20. 20-I love when Luke calls me and I can tell how much he misses me.
    
21. 21-I know that he is doing his best for me and not just himself. He wants to support me and is always working so hard for us. He knows how hard it is for me sometimes when he is gone and is working hard to get us set for life.
22. 22-He calls me buddy. And I love it. He truly is my best friend.
23. 23-He has a great sense of humor.
    
24. 24-He doesn't realize how loud he is sometimes. For example, once we were at dinner with my mom and Joey and he was singing (quietly, if not to himself HE thought). Really he was singing loud enough we all heard him. He actually does this more often than he realizes. Usually it just makes me laugh. Unless of course it's something that shouldn't be said out loud.
25. 25-He is totally afraid of spiders. One night he woke from his sleep, because he thought he saw a spider and jumped from one side of the room to the other in one step. I laughed so hard and he was scared for his life. Turns out, the "spider", was a lid to a coke bottle.
26. 26-Luke is legally blind. He wears contacts and can't see anything without them.
27. 27-Luke occasionally talks in his sleep. It never makes sense, but to him he knows exactly what he's talking about. He gets so frustrated when I laugh or try to get him to explain himself. I try to keep him talking, but he usually gets mad and falls back to sleep. The last time he was trying to tell me about "The eggs, the chickens lay eggs on the way to the course". hahaha Don't know where that came from, but I laughed.
28. 28-Luke is also very good at Nintendo. We found his moms old Super Nintendo recently and played Yoshi. I thought I was good at Nintendo, but he killed me. I lost my touch. I'm still blaming it on the fact that I never played Yoshi, just the original Mario. And I rocked it.
    
29. 29-Luke has music skills. At least as far as knowing every band that is playing on the radio. He always teases me for not knowing who it is. I suck at "Name the Band". Sometimes I surprise him though.
30. 30-He once played the guitar, and can play a little still. He really should make that an obsession. Maybe I should buy him a guitar for Christmas? Hmmm.
31. 31-Luke loves to read. Our tastes are not the same. He likes weird Sci-Fi stuff. And Steven King. I could do the Steven King, but I wouldn't choose to read them.
32. 32-Ohhhh, I just remembered...Luke started writing a book that he never finished. From what I read, it was really good and I still wonder how it would end. Luke, you should write a life list and add that to it:)
33. 33-He has also drawn up Golf Course designs. This too I think should be added to your list. Get the plans in the right hands and who knows what could happen???
34. 34-He almost always has a lottery ticket. So, does his Mom and Grandpa. Can't win if you don't try, right?
35. 35-Luke is a collector. He doesn't get rid of things easily. If it's sentimental in any way it stays. Including clothes. If he remembers wearing it to some big event, or winning a tournament in it, or his dad got it from wherever, he hates getting rid of it. Even if he'll never wear it again.
36. 36-Luke has a million favorite TV shows. His life practically revolves around them. Thank goodness for DVR's. He refuses to watch sports recorded though. He is so afraid that someone will spoil it for him. This is another reason he is a homebody.
37. 37-He likes to bet on sports, like his Dad.
    
38. 38-He likes his food very plain. Everything is pretty much meat and cheese.
39. 39-He hates buffets and pot lucks. He doesn't like "weird" salads and not knowing what's in them.
40. 40-He can't watch me cook. He doesn't like the way things look until they are done. It makes him gag. It's quite funny, other than the fact that he doesn't cook for me. He has a very small list of things he can make. (Or should I say is willing to make).
    
41. 41-He is very particular about the way he cooks his Ramen. He puts the seasoning in as the water boils, then actually times it when he puts the noodles in. Exactly 3 minutes. And adds LOTS of pepper.
    
42. 42-Luke hates asking for things. Money especially (but who doesn't), directions, help, etc. Maybe this is just because he's a man.
43. 43-He is "never" wrong. hahaha
44. 44-Luke likes to figure things out. For example he needed new spark plugs for his car, so he googled how to change them and did it himself.
45. 45-He is a great traveler, and always knows how to get where he's going. I lose my sense of direction as soon as the mountains are gone. He also knows important traveling ettiquete, like tipping and how to find a hotel and all the extras that come with traveling. I guess if that's what you do for a living, you learn pretty fast.
46. 46-Luke gives great advice.
    
47. 47-He's a computer whiz. Actually, he's generally a tech whiz.
48. 48-He is a lot like his dad. And his dad's opinion means a lot to him.
    
49. 49-He loves his family and would do anything for them.
50. 50-My favorite thing about Luke is that he loves me and supports me and would do anything to make me happy.

I love you, Luke. I hope my family and friends know how much I love you too. The important thing is that I know I do. You truly make me so happy. Especially this year, I feel like our relationship has gotten so much stronger. I can't imagine my life without you. I am excited to see what our lives have to offer, and for our dreams come true! I hope you know that I support you 100% and know that you will do what it takes to make our lives wonderful, and so will I. You are my best friend, my rock, my hero. I love you! THANKS;)
