I finally found a great job!

I am so excited! I got a call yesterday from a recruiting company that I had interviewed with awhile back, saying that they had an opening and were interviewing today. I told them I would definitely be there.

Here's the thing... Luke and I have started to go to The Rock Church the last 3 weeks. I love it so much! Once we started going, I realized I needed to stop being selfish and ask God for help to put me in the position I need to be in to be happy. As you know, I have been so stressed at my job. I have always been the top employee at all my jobs. Now, at the call center I have been awful. I'm sure on the verge of being let go. Strange feeling for me. After going to church, I realized I needed to put my stress in God's hand's and let him take care of me. Once I did that I felt so much relief. When I got the call yesterday, I was so excited.

I went in this morning and I felt the interview went very well! I was so anxious to get the call back. I had convinced myself that this was it. I am embarrassed to admit this, but I had my phone under my leg all morning, just waiting for it to vibrate and take the job! Luke sent me a text message and I swear I about jumped out of my seat in hopes it was my job offer. Once I got that, I told myself I was being ridiculous! I put my phone on my desk and just stared at it all afternoon. It finally rang, and I put my computer on "Break" and took the call. I tried my hardest not to scream, but a little squeal may have came out. I was so excited when they offered me the position! I immediately went in the hall and called Luke and my mom to share my excitement. After thanking Josh (my friend's husband that got me the job at the call center) for helping me out, and apologizing for being an awful agent there, I told him that I was offered a job. He was happy for me and I left and came home to celebrate! I have been trying to hold back the excitement (unsuccessfully) all night!

My position is as a receptionist for KPMG, a worldwide accounting firm. It is a long term temporary position for now. I am hoping that they will love me and I will be able to stick with them permanently. We live practically across the street from a Trax station and I will be taking Trax to work everyday. It stops right in front of the office downtown. I'm really excited to be working on the 15th floor downtown. BEAUTIFUL views of The Capitol and Temple.

So no offense to "call center employees", but I am moving on. I think it is great that there are people that are awesome sales people and can make a ton of money at that job (I was the farthest thing from that!). I am very thankful that I had the job, but am even more thankful to have found something I believe I can be MUCH better at! I am proud to say I am moving from the call center to the 15th floor of the Beneficial Tower downtown! KPMG here I come. I can't wait!
