O Canada... Day 11 and 12

Day 11

Ok, first of all, let me just say how much I miss these guys already. The Shistowski's (Luke spelled that for me, so if it's wrong I apologize) are some of my new best friends. We had so much fun with them this week. We got together for one last dinner before we had to leave town.

Emma

While we were waiting for dinner outside, Emma was giving all of us pine needles. Luke was putting his behind his ear and Emma thought it was so silly. I think she found a new buddy in Luke. She was so cute with him.

Chris and I share a birthday, July 22nd. So we each got dessert. Please focus on the dessert, rather than my nerdy face here. Our ice cream had sparklers in it. It was so fun. And these hats were funny while we got sang to.

I love that Emma is looking at Chris, like what the heck is going on here.

Here we all are after dinner. I love Emma's perfect little smile here. We had such a good night. I wish we all lived closer, so we could do this weekly. I guess it will be a good excuse to come back to Winnipeg, and for Denise to come to Utah to see mountains for the first time ever. What better place, really? I would absolutely love that. We can be your little "city guides". Chris was so nice. He would pick me up from the hotel and take me a different way to the course everyday, and tell me about a different part of the city. I got to see where he grew up, and all kinds of different things. Even where they made "Cracker Jacks". Thanks again "tour guide", "weather man", "caddy", and "daddy" Chris. You made the trip extra enjoyable. I can't wait to get together with all of you again. I'm actually still enjoying every second of this trip. Usually I am ready to get home, but I have really had so much fun with Luke. I wish I could do this more often. I'm sure I will be able to do it more and more. We have had a great time together and I couldn't have had a better trip. Thanks so much for everything, Luke. I love you!

Day 12

I snuck my camera out on the course today to get a few pictures of the boys together. I was a bit nervous, so I did my best without getting caught.

This is my favorite. I love when Luke stands like this, leaning on his club. He is always doing it. And, I love that it says "Swilor" on Chris's back. This is the ultimate BFF picture. Even if it's a total girl thing to be BFF's and guys wouldn't actually say it. This is what I consider us as now. As a couple, family, and individuals, we are BFF's. haha Chris was a great caddy for Luke. I hope he had as much fun as we did.

We are on our way home now. I took this just before we crossed through Customs.

The sky was so pretty through Canada, and as we passed through North Dakota. This is what you call a beautiful prairie sky.

This is the Customs sign. I loved that a lot of the signs were in both English and French from Winnipeg to the border. I took French for 5 years in school (not that I remember much), but I could recognize some things here and there. It was pretty cool for me.

Here we are going through Customs into North Dakota. We are staying in Grand Forks, North Dakota for the night and will be making our way home over the next couple of days.
